Try out ebikes from top manufacturers at ebiketips LIVE
Looking for a new e-bike? Or just want to know what's out there? At ebiketips LIVE you'll be able to swing a leg over fantastic bikes from Cube, Scott, Specialized, Giant, Haibike, Moustache, Kalkhoff, Beat Bike and Raleigh.

Looks like there's only representation from the "Big" manufacturers, which is a bit of a shame :(

I will be going along anyway (hopefully on the Greenway Cross) and my partner should be riding the Kudos Tornado over :)

I thought about it, but only just bought my bike and it looked little or an event for those looking to buy. I wonder if there are accessories trade stands, or things going on for those with bikes already?

Reckon there will be some jaws dropping when they see your Greenway Redcup, as you rip by them in total silence.
Have you got that new battery fitted yet?

That was interesting! Rode quite a few bikes.
A 2017 Cube 29er hardtail HPA Pro(?). Standard Bosch fare -performance CX - well made.
Cube Travel Hybrid (step through). Bosch Performance, Nexus Hub, Suspension seat post. This was the step through and was incredibly comfortable - my partner loved the gears and the seat post!
I rode a Kalkhoff - just for interest. Don't know which one, but felt very well put together and the motor was very quiet and smooth.
Giant Road-E. Nice to ride. Liked the double chainring at the front. Medium frame was a bit long for me, so hard to have a proper verdict.
Specialized Vado. Brose Motor, Brilliant battery integration, Brilliant light integration (check out the rear light in the built in rack!), smooth, quiet and powerful - a great commuting bike. This is apparently a new model which isn't properly unveiled globally for two weeks.

An enjoyable event - glad to have had the opportunity to try a few different bikes :)

Thanks for the very informative report, that Specialised Vado certainly looks good, a lot of thought and design gone into it. For once a bike that has a sensible front mudguard, low at the rear to protect the bike properly.

That Vado is a very clean looking bike. It's the first intergrated battery/mid drive that's made me think I want one. Not sure that rack would take my two panniers loaded with a weeks shopping though.
Niiice (as Whispering Bob used to say!).

That looks very nicely finished Ebike , bet it's going to cost best part of 3 large.
We're there many attendees / much interest at the show?

Specialized make fantastic bikes but the prices of their e-bikes are eye wateringly high.

That particular model retail at £3600 in the UK. There is a lower spec one with different gears / brakes that is £3200! So not cheap. I would certainly be looking at the R&M models in that price bracket as well. But I dare say they will be less than 3K come the end of the year.

There were plenty of attendees - but the show was shared between road.cc and ebike-tips - I would say the majority of visitors were more interested in the Canyon / Rose / Scott high-end Carbon road bikes. Having said that, the Giant road-e did seem pretty popular and the e-MTBs seemed popular on their proper ride-outs - not sure where they went but they were absolutely caked in mud when they returned :) And it was good to see that all the sales guys seemed to be properly clued up on the technical side of their bikes.

Haibike had the only Yamaha PWX bike on demo (possibly the only one in the country)? Unfortunately it was too big for me to jump on and have a go :-(
