Is it worth keeping a dead BBS01b controller for spare parts?

I want to be an electronics whizz at deconstruction, but I don't think that'll be happening any time soon lol. I'll keep in the loft till my desoldering skills improve...

With care and a bit of skill\experience.

Do realise that if you throw it away, you will need the spare parts it contains within a week.

Yeah - I've been storing stuff like that for fifty years. i have very occasionally salvaged a needed part, but you should see my loft.....

When I croak, my sons will hate me for what I have left them to get rid of.

nealh had a go at that:

BBS01 to KT controller mod.

I will try and post some pics later and a description of work. Due to the rubbish weather again today I set about wiring up an external KT controller to my BBS01, several hrs later a total success ad now just need to go for a ride out to check all is ok.
