I decided to go out on the Typhoon today since it was warm, dry & sunny. Riding along peacefully through Linlithgow when an elderly chap in a Vauxhall decided to pull out from the side of the road just as I got to him. I did a nice rear wheel skid which must have looked impressive to everyone and the gentleman did apologise. Ok onwards to the Forth bridge. It was a beautiful uneventful trip to the Bridge and back.

That is until I got to Linlithgow again. I was up about 20mph when a beautiful blonde yummy mummy in a BMW decided she'd come out of her drive. She stopped with her front wheel in line with me. Luckily it is a wide road and the car which was overtaking me had given me such a wide berth that I could swerve round the aforementioned beautiful blonde. To be fair to her, the look of horror on her face told me she had realised what she'd done.

Now, that was two incidents in Linlithgow so I should be OK to get home. Well I was wrong. Still in Linlithgow, I came to a roundabout. So, I'm ON the roundabout when some demented harpy in a 4x4 decided she should also be on the roundabout. Anyway she came to a halt right in front of me and it was obvious she hadnt seen me (looked) right until she'd stopped in front of me.

The moral of this story is: Avoid Linlithgow. :)

Still, I did 36 miles, had a nice brunch in my favoured watering hole and made it home safe. It was a good day after all.
