As requested by many members please find photos, specification & price point for the new 2013 Kudos Arriba, Tornado & Cobra performance Ebikes, delivery anticipated Jan/Feb 2013.

The style and performance of these bikes are comparable to a good sports bike plus DIY conversion kit. These bikes are the start of a new range of bikes both from Kudos and other direct import competitors. We hope that this should offer models to suit most customers without the expense of mainland EU imports, it would be nice if the UK can do its own thing.

We will be supporting the launch with over 200 stock bikes plus spares. A spare battery cost will be about £200 plus vat.

This range plus the Secret and Safari models should satisfy most requirements.

The earliest possible official viewing is the London Excel cycle show Jan 17th 2013 but we have sample bikes at Kudos warehouse if anyone wishes a trial ride.

Thank you for your interest.
Dave

Kudos Arriba
The most intuitive of any e-bike I have ridden, the combination of the 'TOP' hill climbing option plus 'Thun' crank torque sensor produces a very powerful bicycle, which faithfully reproduces a non-assisted sports riding style, our current top of the range bicycle.

The most economical way to experience the hill climbing power of the 'TOP' hill climbing option. Tornado is a bicycle which is particularly suited to a terrain which is mainly flat or gentle incline with the occasional very steep hill. Nicknamed "The Bad Boy Bike" at Kudos!

Which of the Thun BB sensors are you using, is it the X-CELL R or the X-CELL RT?

Handsome looking bikes by the way... very appealing to the younger rider I would imagine.

Thanks Dave,
Now I need to re-think my iminent purchase... Arriba or Bighit (hill climbing is the killer)? I guess I'm just gonna have to try both and see which suits best! Unless the Bighit plummets in price during the next few months...

Although none of those models appeal to me personally, obviously, as I prefer step thru, and Im not a boy racer ;) ...... I have to say congratulations Dave at getting the weight right down from your previous range.

Still looking forward to seeing your new crank drive step thru as and when.

Lynda :)

what do you expect me to say, they "look" fine..... A real step up Dave and well done. So you gonna get rid of the Duke & Duchess?lol

But its only centre drives that really interest me these days.. So looking forward to that reveal, and look forward to a test ride...

I will leave it to you Garry to forensically examine the specification, and evaluate the value for money:D

Eddie there was a reason for the :D. It was mainly meant as a bit of jest.

Just intrested to know if there are any developments re the Tourer & city bikes?, like the the 'Duke' and its style, not so keen on the 3 spd hub, possible 8 spd in the offing.

Thinking of buying a Kudos soon

Hi....The Tourer and City are already well proven bikes with many Pedelec forum members riding such bikes, the Tourer comes with either Nexus 8 speed internal hub gears or the very strong Deore 9 speed,Electric bike magazine did a comparative review of both gear systems. The Tourer and City bikes are the workhorses of the Kudos range, not flashy, but will give years of commuter service, the longlife LifeP04 battery keeps running costs low. I think the choice between is whether you like hub or derailleur gears, straight or curved handlebars-the City is my choice for a bike ride,I like the riding position.
The Duke at £695.00 is amazing value but you have to be tall, the 3-speed hub works well but you would not want to ride this bike without power assist.
I dont intend to change the specification of these bikes they have a loyal customer base who like them just as they are.

That answers my question D!,

Have had a whizz on the Tourer, initial impressons are good! the 'duke' would suit my size,as I am tall and big, love the extra rack on the front ,reminds me of my old postie bike! but alack no 8 spd hub, too expensive to upgrade.

cogitating that Tourer 8 spd,still

To be fair to Dave, Dave, I asked Dave to remind us because I was too lazy to search.
