so when you buy it, if you want full power you sign a disclaimer and get sent a code.

now looking at it, it looks like the okfeet gp which the do in a 36v 500w.

so i would defo say not legal, as im guessing that all it is, is restricted to 15.5mph and the code unlocks the speed limiter, though could be wrong it may have a setting that switches between 250w and 500w

99% of all kits you can buy you can change the settings one way or another for more power and speed so even if it had a 250w motor under law it is classed as having a off road switch and not road legal.

if you want it buy it no one is going to pull you over and look just dont kill anyone and you will be fine.

the problem is, its been adviertized as road legal, its a gp500 restricted to 15mph and chances are someone is going to buy it thinking its all legal. now having had a gp500w 48v witch i found poor, you mays as well buy a 48v 750w ant set that at 15mph.

Almost certainly not legal as you say, and despite what the advert says. And that does either for road use or for off-road use in public places (such as bridleways). But as soundwave says, you will likely get away with it.

get the 1000w bafang hd and turn that up you be flying down the road at 50mph+ but the big downside is nuking the batt.

note if you go to far you can blow up the controller or set the batt on fire ;)

i ride a 750w bafang, so as you say common sense and your likly to get away with it. but some riders want to be fully legal,

ive got a few bafang HDs done, wait for a luna black box arriving and gonna set a 1 up at 52v to see if there much diffrence, but as you say battery wont like it unless you build one to cope.
