Motor cutting out on Tonaro Compy

This morning the motor cut out on a gentle hill, and did't work for the next 5 miles of the commute, after work it went with no problem all the way home. When it died the battery indicator remained full and the battery was fully charged having only travelled 1 mile before the problem. Any thoughts as it is difficult to fault find when it has started working.

First thing I would try is to make sure that the brake levers go right back when released.
This was the cause of a similar problem that I had on my Tonaro

Brake sensor error is a likely possibility, I have had it occur with my BBS01.
Disconnect the sensor then ride to confirm motor cut out doesn't re-occur.
