Nanometre 'fuses' for high-performance batteries

Yes, I spotted that earlier in the week and considered starting an exotic power sources thread, as there are loads of them lately - battery ink, sulphur-air batteries, etc

The 'fuse' in that video looks very hacked together though and I wonder how re-fuelling would work? The applications seem to be limited to use once/throw away technologies. On the other hand, energy density sounds phenomenal.
