New batteries

Hi i have one of them ebike wrangler MTB bikes, with 24V 10 Ah NiMH Battery Pack with 20xD cell 1.2v batteries ...

Where could i get replacement batteries to just rebuild the pack as the shop says its £250 for new one is this a reasonable price ?.

Or is it cheaper to rebuild the pack my self ?

£250 for anew pack is very reasonable Rob, others charging from that to around £300 for similar batteries.

The problem with re-celling is the lack of suitable high discharge rated D cells, the few that are available being very expensive at around £10 to £11 each, so hardly any saving.

One of the best sources is Battreryspace in the USA, but once converted from dollars and postage is paid for there's again little saving:
