My faithful Smarta LX8 is now 4 years old. It has done over 12000 miles but still runs fine. It is robust, comfortable, heavy and noisy.
I am considering whether the Smarta should be either replaced with a new bike, or upgraded by changing the front motor and whatever else is required.
Any replacement MUST be capable of the milage of the Smarta, be comfortable and QUIET. I am only 5`4" so a small frame is necessary, along with mudguards, chain guard etc. I have not ridden many crank drives, so probably biased to hubs.
I looked at a few bikes last year - Ansmann, Momentum, but not with any serious intention. I am not sure what I will do this year.
Any suggestions as to how I should proceed are welcome.
