Whoever Brose are, it sounds like it's more their motor with a Continental badge stuck on it. I'm not sure a tyre manufacturer inspires any particular confidence in a crank drive system. However more competition is always good.

That is an integrated drive by Brose, so it looks like they are doing that one on their own account and the belt one - presumably as an after-market add-on - in partnership with Continental.

Edit: I see the integrated one uses a belt, but they look like different products to me.

Yours, in confusion.

it looks extremely well designed - no need to grease the motor.
Bosch, here comes a proper competitor. Shame it can't be fitted to a standard bike.

I like the simplicity of the concept and it's internal belt drive could result in it being the quietest e-bike motor yet outside of direct drive hubs. If coupled with a belt drive and NuVinci CVT on the bike it could have Rolls Royce like silence with owners wanting the quietest tyre tread design!
