well the 1st edition of the velovison magazine dropped through the letter box this morning:p Nice timing, to have something to read alongside the Telegraph...First impressions, a bit thin but the content is good, and its really nice to have a magazine dedicated to our interests...well done and a good effort!;)

I read mine along side the DAILY STAR:D only joking!

I agree, a bit thin but the content was good and it is nice to have a dedicated mag for a change.

Notice the handlebar adjustment on the Reptila? it is identical to my wifes Synergie Breeze set up, it`s good but it has to be kept well tight or it creeks and at the end of the day it might be handy for the London bike hire where lots of different people are using the bikes but once set up for Anne then thats where it stays.

BTW I think the Breeze has been dropped as it doesn`t show up in the bikes for sale although there is still a picture on the lead web page?

Yes, got mine too, but the title is Electric Bike, published by Velovision.

Not read through yet, but first impression is a bit basic but will probably improve a lot over time.

Good to see such comprehensive advertiser support, the first real alternative to A to B magazine of course.

Having just read the review of the Ezee Torq the magazine concludes it is Good For "... more hilly journeys." This despite it being tested on a "mainly flat journey".

It is also the opposite of what any other review I have ever seen has said. They all stated that the name, Torq, was very much a misnomer as the bike is very good as a fast bike on the level but poor on hills.

Was in Smiths today and was pleasantly surprised to see a "regular" cycling magazine doing a review of an Electric Bike.

The review was of the new carbon Whisper I think (£2K plus). Skimmed it, but they were apologising for electric bikes before the review even started

They have not been very stringent in their testing of e-bikes in Velovision, but hopefully over time they'll gain the experience necessary to give informed criticism.

Their Torq mention is valid however. The original Torq 1 was the one that earned that reputation through it's motor being very overgeared for speed, but it was replaced with the Torq 2 that they tested which is very different and a powerful climber, though not as fast.

The magazine can be read online as well
VeloVision Online and then click on the issue, it will open a reader.

Most of the topics have been mentioned on this forum, form the prize winning pedals to Bosch entering the eBike market. I liked the magazine. It can be downloaded as PDF as well.

I hope they'll make it. The market for specialised e-bike magazines cannot be all that big.

My copy arrived on Saturday, which was great, giving me the Bank Holiday to read through it

Agree that it is abit on the thin side, but hopefully that will improve with time. Got to say I thoroughly enjoyed the mag and love the fact that it is a whole magazine dedicated to electric bikes

Well done to Peter and the team behind it and am looking forward to seeing how Electric Bike develops

Could do with some models for the pics though to add some sparkle.......

The same balding gentleman on a bike on nearly every page don't really cut it IMO:D

Not for me, at risk of being called a spoilsport, A to B has quite enough of that, we don't need a duplication.

The balding gentleman is very experienced cyclist and editor Peter Eland of course.

I once wondered if A to B were having a quiet chuckle at Peter's expense when they likened a couple of e-bikes models they tested to a gazelle and a wildebeest, an Eland being another type of antelope of course.

Just home after a few days away to find the mag waiting on the doormat. Good first effort IMO looking forward to hopefully seeing it grow and develop
