Hi all,

I have been reading the forums for the last few weeks and finally decided to join.

I have previously used a folding bike to commute to work but following some knee injuries from sport found going up even some of the lighter hills in Birmingham difficult. So my commuting stopped in 2007.

In the last several months with all the road development going on in the City Centre I have found myself incredibly frustrated with traffic delays. Public transport no longer seems so convenient.

So a six weeks ago it so I saw the advert for the G-tech electric bike. I was very interested. Following some further research I saw that there were folding bikes available on the market. Following further research I discovered the Volt has a stockist in the Birmingham area.

I have decided to go for the Volt Metro as my initial entry into the electric bike market. I will occasionally want to travel by rail so having a folding bike will be a convenient feature. I should be picking it up in a week or two all being well.

The main use will be for 7 to 8 mile round trip commute to work daily and then a train journey and a 14 mile round trip cycle ride to get to my Church every few weekends.

I am looking forward to avoiding traffic and also getting that e-bike grin.

I will also be thinking about whether to get a non-folding electric bike eventually to see if I can potentially cycle the 15 plus miles to Church and back without using a train. If the Volt Metro is as strong as it looks then I might not need another bike.

All the best

Harry
