Hi everyone
Don’t hardly no much about ebikes
But done the moving sensor on back swinging arm with magnet on the peddle

and keep getting error and no power now and then
Will it damage my bike

Bit more info might help. What bike/motor etc?
Why are you moving magnet onto pedal, where was it before rear wheel?

mots a Bosch motor performance line cx
The magnet is on the back wheel
So I’ve placed one on the back of the peddle
Then moved the little senor on the back swinging arm so the magnet on the peddle passes it rather than the one on the wheel
But twice now I’ve had an error displayed and no power
1st time it come straight back on
2nd time took 10 mins to come back on

Not got a Bosch, but the magnet/sensor was set to measure the rotation of a set circumference wheel, being on the swing arm & wheel
Now you are trying to measure crank rotations, which vary by gear selected. CPU probably throwing a wobbly??

I take it you've moved the sensor in the hope of removing the speed limit by "tricking" the system into thinking the wheel is revolving slower?

If so, then the system may well be smarter than you think and by altering one parameter (wheel rpm) you've created a conflict with another.

Another possibility is that you've got the magnet too close/ too far from the sensor.

Had my 3rd error today and just thought oh well
I’ll have to get home so carried on riding
After ten mins it resets its self
So happy days
