Hello all,
Joined just now after Googling 'Nuvinci H Sync troubleshooting'. The discussion I found was very useful - not least because it might actually have helped me resolve the issue. I have a Hercules cargo which uses the Bosch system coupled to an N360 and H-Sync. I was periodically getting problems with the H Sync not shifting and then working again. Checking the senor operation didn't show any problem there - leds lighting up like they are supposed to. A number of posts suggested disconnecting the battery then reconnecting and running the gear calibration a number of times. Seems to be doing what it's supposed now - just have to see how long it lasts. I don't know of any e-bike specialists in or close to Southampton unfortunately - also a cargo bike is a big beast to try and get into most cycle workshops that I have seen. Any other cargo e-bike riders on here?

My cargo trike is currently with DC Cycles in Bevois Valley, Southampton.

I was surprised to find they are on the first floor above a car servicing workshop. 2 wheeled bikes are carried up to the workshop but they are working on mine in the car workshop.

It's in for a problem with the hydraulic brakes, broken spoke on hub motor wheel and a replacement suspension seat post. The auto electrician in the workshop is wiring in a connector to enable easy removal of the motor wheel. They say they have done this on other ebikes.

DC Cycles have taken on servicing of ebikes for the shop that used to be in Bedford Place but which is online only now.

Will update when I've got the trike back.

Thanks - I'll check them out sometime

Got the trike back and the brakes & gears are better than when it was new.

However although I'm pleased with what they did they couldn't organise the proverbial party in a brewery.

I wanted a new suspension seatpost and it was delivered to them but someone sent it back because it had been sitting on a shelf for a couple of weeks. They hadn't even looked at the old post and when they went to fit a normal seatpost found that part of the old one was stuck in the tube.

They couldn't get it out but all the garage mechanics gathered round and got it out. Success at the 4th attempt after magnet, wire and some fancy gadget that had prongs that opened out in the tube. They got it out with an old wire coathanger.
