Panasonic Drive Unit

Hi All

I saw this and wondered is this is the same drive unit as in the Twist, or a newer perhaps more powerful version of it?

Does anyone know anything?

Yes it is John, but is only more powerful if Panasonic supply it to the bike manufacturer without the Japanese legal restriction. Also Leonardo has reported that a Twist rider has fitted the latest twist type unit that's used in the Flyer bike, and that's more powerful with better hill climbing.

I dread to think of the cost though. The replacement of the existing Twist unit is £450 for the part only, and those Biketech prices are usually at least 50% up on ours.
