Pedelec Problems

Hi All my first thread - I purchased my 905SE Sport back November and have been happy with it when its been working.
After 4 weeks I fitted an Avid Disc and Avid v brake on the advice given on the Pedelec forum and can confirm it is a big improvement over the weak standard fittings.
The ongoing problem I have had is the pedelec cutting out. Its been back to the dealer several times and the controller, throttle and motor have all been replaced, yet its still only worked for a short time before packing up again!
Each time the throttle (when you need it) still gets you home although you feel it has a reluctance and feels hesitant in its operation.
The dealer has been helpful and intends to supply me a new bike as I think they have run out of ideas!
Has any body else had similar problems?
I might stick the new one straight on ebay as I dont want any more inconvenience (removing brake upgrade, taking the bus and train) that I have had over the past couple of months (12 weeks of ownership = 4.5 weeks off the road) - watch this space for a possible bargain!

I know just how you feel as mine was off the road for several weeks and the train was expensive but I'm glad I persevered as it is an enjoyable bike when working well. If you got it from ETS then I expect they will transfer your mods for you.

Dezbert, I suggest you PM David at Wisper directly. I'm SURE he will sort you out!
(BTW the if the controller, throttle and motor have been changed then that leaves the wiring, switches and battery. If you have an iffy switch or connection to the switch it might mimic what you have. Maybe water has got in to one of the switches?)

Of Course the problem could well be down to fitting the new brake system by the customer which could then interfere with the automatic cut out on the brake handle ?

Who knows ?

The best we can do is try and do the best we can to keep customers happy

The only Wisper brake upgrade I've seen recommended on here was just changing the caliper end to Avid so it wouldn't have affected the cut outs.
It sounds like the retailer has done a fair bit of work on this one, would that be you? :)
