Looking for advice. I have a Carrera Crossfire e-bike, from Halfords, done 600 miles. Problem is I fully charge it, start riding with all bars on the display showing full, and the battery level showing 99%, then intermittently that changes to two bars and reading 40% left. It then reverts, for a short while to the original reading, but then goes back to the low false reading. Comes and goes like that whilst riding. Not aware of doing anything different.

Take it back if under warranty they suffer from cut out issues and are a PITA.

Thanks, unfortunately not under warranty - 2years old. Any other suggestions?
Some have ripped out the Suntour electronics only keeping the hub and battery, spend £70 - £100 on a KT controller, lcd and PAS sensor for a better outcome.

Do you still get good range ? If you hold the battery on/off button down for 10 secs do you get all 5 bars flash on the battery ? If so, that indicates 80-100% capacity available once fully charged ( SEE PAGE 9 of here - https://www.srsuntour.com/fileadmin/user_upload/Downloads/Consumer/E-Bike/Owners manuals/250W Rear Motor System/SRSUNTOUR-250W-rear-motor-bolt-axle-standard-manual-EN-03-03-2017.pdf ). Does the it come and go all even when the battery is nearly out of charge after, say a long 20+ mile ride (on top level assist)
Make sure the battery terminals are clean, and the display contacts are clean
