It has been reported that Leonard Finch who grew up and began cycling as a youngster in Walthamstow, had died in a crash in Suffolk.
I have to confess that I had never heard of the man but the BBC news article describes him as 'inspirational'. Others may be more familiar than me with Mr Finch's career but anyone still cycling on Britain's roads today at 86 years of age must be an incredibly dedicated 'roadie'. RIP.
