Selling my bike, test rides.

Finding my (electric) wheels

I am planning on selling an 2008 Kalkhoff Pro Connect, but I'm a bit worried about someone asking for a test ride and, well, just never coming back.

What's the normal protocol when buying/selling an electric bicycle? Would someone expect to be able to cycle the bike away.

I could arrange a (semi) secure yard, but it'd be a pain.

Thanks for any advice.

Car keys or ask them to leave you with the full asking price in cash before they take it out.

Leave the full amount of ££ on the table, if the bike isn't for them, they can have their money back.

usual way is leave driving license/car keys/cash/wife/husband :)

to be fair i think most people would expect a test ride of any bike they were thinking of buying (i know i would) its just about reading the ppl when they turn up.
