I thought you needed a specialist frame ?

Thinking building a new commuter and I like the idea of shaft drive, alfine 8 and a front hub

I can't see from the photos how you change the length between BB and hub. And the BB looks a bit strange

You need the exact length to fit your bike.
You need horizontal drop-outs.
You need the bevel gear to go with it.

All-in-all, not a good chance of it fitting a donor bike, plus, you can't use a rear or middle motor.
