Hi,

Still dithering about the Sprint and just wondered if anyone out there has a Sparta ION - would really like to hear comments on performance especially up hills (I live in Winchester and we have some good examples of steep hills!).

of the 2 bikes sparta or sprint because of where you live winchester which i quite like but boy do i hate those hills i own a ezee torq and its hard work. The roadtest done by AB magazine said it is a pretty bike with some modern features BUT no good for steep hills so of the two the sprint is the bike for you it will help on those hills of winchester good luck nigel.

Yes, I agree with Nigel, the Sprint is the better hill climber by a large margin.

Fine bike though the Ion is, it uses a direct drive hub motor and these tend to have limited low speed torque, but it's just that which you need for those long climbs around Winchester. They won't trouble the Sprint.
