Perhaps you might like to explain to the forum what you call flirting Lynda, come on Lynda don't be shy?

It is really lovely up here in the Lake District, magnificent scenery........if only it were visible through the torrential rain!

ha ha.......I'd rather stick to bikes actually........ :)

I lived in the lake district for years.....right on the top of Aisgill moor.....summit of the settle to carlisle railway.....so you cant tell me anything about cumbrian weather :)

So, will you be getting any cycling done up there ?

Lynda :)

Ah, cycling, I new there was something I forgot to pack and the sun has just come out.
We are west of Penrith, just off the A66. Going to check on e-bike hire.

Thats a coincidence......my husband was born in penrith, farmed at brough on the A66.........could well have known your family........I lived there for years......small world isnt it ?
Can't imagine many e-bikes for hire around there though....far too hilly LOL......you should have remembered one of yours.
Hope the weather gets better for you

Well isn't it just a small world Lynda. Did your husband go to school in Penrith I might know him.
My father farmed near Penrith for 50 years, a mile west of Stainton.

Apparently, there is an electric bike hire and retailer in Penrith, Motorlec, tried to find it this morning, but couldn't. I am going to give them a call later.
Weather is fine now, just been down to the Rampsbeck hotel beside Ulswater for afternoon tea. My wife and I had our wedding reception there xx years ago today. Beautiful location.

Good god !!!
Your family farmed ?..........husbands family are very well known in the area, been there for generations and all still farm all around penrith, langwathby, brough.....its such a small community there they will definately all know each other if only from the auction marts.....my father in law was well known for his BFL and swaledale sheep.....husband went to school in penrith then appleby grammar.....
I know the rampsbeck hotel well.....we had an engagement do there

Oh, and happy xx wedding anniversary :)
Good luck with your bike hunt

My father spent a lot of time at auction marts, particularly in Penrith, usually followed by a session in the bar of the Agricultural Hotel.
There is an article about the electric bike shop in C & W Herald, I am going to see them tomorrow.
