Want to try a different chainring on the TSDZ2.
Apart from the 5 bolts holding the spider on, what else? As it wont budge!

My last one the spider just pushed off the shaft has a rubber seal ,ended up putting it back could not get a chain line with the after market one.
The original has a slight dish could fit a smaller one behind the original [twin] but not go larger
Have spotted some expensive adaptors but not tried one

Removed the five bolts, but the chainring spider is solid and you can not move it?
Tried a very gentle tap, but no joy........ It is truly solid.

Beginning to regret buying this (POS) :D

** Is there something behind the dust seal holding this on?**

I changed the chainring by just opening the 5 outer bolts. I then just turned it and it passed outwards over the crank and pedal. Fitting the replacement is just the reverse but you need a long tweezers and its a bit picky to refit the inner allen 'nut' thing. Although its not necessary to remove the crank arm or spider, it may be easier for some to do this.
I suppose it could be a problem with older units if the bolts are corroded etc.

Chain ring as said should simply come away once thr bolts are removed.
I fitted a relatively cheap spider and 32/42t rings for a 2X set up on my Kona Ute.
Also added an extra crank bearing on both sides to prevent extra stress on the drive axle.
