Wanted to pass on some really great news about Lynda, see below. She's feeling understandably tired having just got out of hospital after an exhausting few weeks, but is now back home. I messaged her earlier to say we all missed her at Redbridge and passed on everyone's best wishes. She's happy for me to post this update, some snippets from her message to me, until she feels up to posting again herself:
"I have just got out of hospital on Friday after the hardest 6 weeks of my life, I got every complication going and was very ill in Intensive care for 8 days..I'm still very weak but it's great to be home, I just need to be patient !!
The good news is that they got it all out and I don't need any further treatment. The anaesthetic was fine I had a lovely lady who totally put me at my ease...
(Redbridge) I was thinking of you all having fun and wishing I was there.
I went to Ireland before my op and loved it I drove right up the wild atlantic way coast and felt fit and well when I got back, the dogs loved the deserted beaches. Really beautiful country.
Hopefully I will be feeling stronger soon and maybe eventually be able to start cycling again, at the moment I can only get upstairs on my hands and knees !I feel like a new bike might be on the cards to celebrate eventually !"
We're all relieved and so very pleased to hear you're on the mend now Lynda. Feet up for now though x
