Its fitted with a 5-pin waterproof plug. Is to possible to upgrade this to a higher spec or would that involve programming? Would I need a special programming box or are there secret button presses? It has the numbers 55979117-1707 and 015772-0418-FH on the back but no makers mark.

I don't know what controller is fitted as its sealed in the part that holds the battery. The bike is a Halford's Pendleton with a Phylion Joycube battery, 36V.

Thanks!

Hi , when you say upgrade , what do you mean exactly ?

What are you wanting to achieve? Higher speeds ? More information on a screen ? More PAS levels etc

cheers

You can't upgrade that one because it's analogue. It's the 880 that's digital and can be swapped for an LCD.

You can can have an LCD and be free of all restrictions if you change the controller too. The pair cost around £60 to £70 for a nice one. You'd need to show us all the connectors for us to recommend which one exactly.

If you only want to derestrict, it might be worth looking at the controller to see if it has the magic wire loop.

More info, really. I don't know what I want but battery voltage and current would be interesting. I don't want more speed as I wish to stay within the law

It sits in the compartment at the front of the battery.

Yes, so I've bought a cheap bike computer from Amazon. But my free TomTom app told me my speed, however, I stopped using that to conserve the phone's battery. The PAS modes are a bit simple and just taper off the wattage above a different speed. But I'll take any path that offers more info as long as it's cheap!

Thanks to all who have replied.
