Goal: speed up to 35 km/h on flat ground. Want pedal assist as well as "moped mode".
Range at top speed at least 25 km.
28 inch wheels, total weight about 100 kg. No steep hills.

Are these components well balanced for this task?

Hi when you total up the kit on there web site make sure you go to checkout you select the delivery company that says Europe Express Line for Battery Sending or when you have payed they will demand the extra for the more expensive delivery option also allow up-to 25 % when the goods are delivered in the UK for vat and duty

And remember any problems NO warranty no support on fitting You are on your own

Sorry but BMS have become very expensive delivering Batteries by air

That battery is a bit weak for the 29 amps that the controller will draw. You need to go up to 20aH, or get the S12S controller that only draws 23 amps. With your weight and hills, that'll be easily enough.
You need to add to your shopping list:
Torque arms (you only need to use one of them)
Wheel-speed sensor
Pas sensor
Plain thumb throttle plus a half throttle (to find best fit)
Spoke key. You'll inevitably need to adjust spokes in the future.

If I decide to go for a motor+wheel option, doesn't the rim width matter? I have a tire, how do I know its width will match the rim's?

What tyre do you have ? The 26" rims BMS sell are marked as x 1.5 but I've fitted 2.1 tyre on them no problem. I expect will be similar story with the 28" ones. Else you can always swap out the motor to a different rim or buy some different tyres.

It's x2.0 so I guess it should work then, thanks.
