Hi there

We have just purchased a 24" wheel Wisper 705SE from Winstanley Cycles. Bought for my partner so she can come riding with me and get fitter (I was previously an electric sceptic but it is great).

Bike is working well (only done a handful of rides) but have noticed a lot of chain slap, she rides in higher gears most of the time.

Happy to shorten chain myself as maintain my own bikes but want to use 7 speed "speed" link. Any issues with using these on this chainset and any guidance regarding how many to remove based on other feedback?

Thanks,

Gordon and Linda

For correct chain length remove chain from derailleur and place chain on/around the front and rear largest gear only ) so front outer chain ring and rear gear #1, the chain ends should overlap by 1 link for Sram components or 2 links for Shimano (include the chain link in this).
