The original battery charger on my Wisper 705 t has stopped working, its about 3 years old, looking on line genuine Wisper ones are very expensive, is there a cheaper option, the model no etc of the charger are

SANS Li-ion Battery Charger
Model SSLC126V42
Input AC 180v-240v -- 2.0A MAX 47 -63 Hertz
Output : 42.0v 3.OA
I have had a look on line but its all very confusing, I don't really want to pay £100 + for a Wisper one if I can get a cheaper alternative, any help or advice appreciated.

Thanks

You can use any 42v charger with the right connector or cut the connectors off and swap them over. You need a charger with an output current of 1.8A to 3A. the lower the amps, the longer it'll take to charge. Take your pick.

Thanks, i have looked but not sure what the actual connection plug to look for, to connect to battery, not that confident in soldering to cut connector off and change, plus the one on the Wisper charger seems is sealed onto the cable.

You just cut the wires three inches from the connector on each charger lead and join the two wires. If you can't do it, take it to an electrical shop. £20 charge plus £10 to change the cable makes you £70 better off. Many of the chargers in that Ebay list have a connector that will probably work. Just look at the pictures.

You can't say that you want to buy a different charger from the Wisper one because you don't want to pay the £100, but you want the same charger. A different one will be different, but will still work. If you want the Wisper one, pay the £100.

Any 2a 42v charger will work with the correct connector.
The charger link below shows the various charge connectors used so buy a charger with the connector that suits yours. Either from the link or find a cheaper one.

That's very expensive for what it is. £15 should be more like it. I think he only put that up as an example of the connectors, not to suggest that you buy it.
