I wear boots similar to the first pair that you have linked to, for walking across the fields at work. The soles wear out very quickly, and I suspect that the soles might not be durable/hard enough for continuous cycle use.
Perhaps think about some overshoes. I really rate the BB ones. Link only for example, not recommendation of dealer. http://www.highonbikes.com/bbb-heavy-duty-mtb-road-bike-overshoes-bws02b.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_YT_qu_Z1gIVVUAbCh2G6wbFEAQYBCABEgK95fD_BwE
edit.. I should add that it can be a tricky task finding overshoes of the right size. More often than not, they come up undersized. If you do happen to order a pair, make sure that the company has a decent returns policy. Better still, buy from a shop and try them on first.
