Nine Cube e-bikes stolen ahead of NEC Cycle Show

Cube have issued a statement to say that there will be a different set of their electric bikes to test at the Cycle Show to those previously announced.

Due to what Cube are calling the ‘unforeseen popularity’ of their full suspension eMTB models, an alternative line up of demonstration e-bike models has now been arranged.

The stolen eMTBs include the following models; in some cases more than one of each model was taken:

  • CUBE STEREO HYBRID 160 HPA RACE 500 27.5 METAL/GREEN 18″
  • CUBE STEREO HYBRID 160 HPA RACE 500 27.5 METAL/GREEN 20”
  • CUBE ACCESS WLS HYBRID RACE 500 BLACK´N´GREY 2017 14″
  • CUBE ACCESS WLS HYBRID RACE 500 BLACK´N´GREY 2017 16″
  • CUBE STEREO HYBRID 140 HPA PRO 400 27.5 BLACK´N´FLASHRED 2017 18”
  • CUBE STEREO HYBRID 140 HPA PRO 400 27.5 BLACK´N´FLASHRED 2017 20”

Although there are currently no details on how the theft occurred, Cube have released the above information to make potential purchasers aware of the stolen models that might be offered for sale.

‘Well, we are happy our bikes are so popular’, says a slightly jaded CUBE marketing manager, Carola Noordermeer, who also wants to warn consumers against purchasing outside of official channels: ‘I want to emphasize to cyclists the importance of a certified dealer. They are the only dealers that will offer full warranty and service.’

The company say that, despite the “rocky start,” they look forward to welcoming visitors to stand J5 at the NEC until 25th September.
