Private Equity Firm Trigenta Forms e-Bike Group

Triginta Capital, a Düsseldorf, Germany based independent private equity partnership have created a new e-bike group by taking over a 51% stake in Clean Air Bike GmbH as well as all the shares of Velodrive GmbH and bicycle supplier Hawk Bike Entwicklung & Marketing GmbH.

Stefan Schulte from Triginta, told Pedelecs: “The three companies, Clean Air Bike, Hawk Bikes and Velodrive form the Clean Air Mobility Group. The focus of the companies is on emission free mobility solution based on bicycles.”

“This includes normal bicycles, electric bicycles for end customers as well as special and transport bicycles for professional applications (e.g. postal bicycles). Hawk Bikes is specialized in the design and development of bicycles and runs the brands Hawk and Nox (Downhill bicycles). Clean Air Bike is a leading German producer of electric bicycles and Velodrive is a system supplier of different electric propulsion systems for OEM customers and special vehicle producers.”

With the take-over Triginta forms an e-bike group which annual production currently stands at about 8,000 electric bikes as well as high-end sports bikes and trendy retro bikes.

” The core competencies of the three group members cover the complete value chain from designing new bicycles, purchase and logistics, production, sale and after service. The goal is to offer reliable bicycles with a good price-value ratio, as well as, innovative electric bicycles and urban mobility concepts. Today, the members of the Clean Air Mobility Group already act Europe wide but intend to increase their market activities around Europe further more.”
