  1. Mine's over 12 months old and hasn't missed a beat. It really is a superb bike...
  2. I've not had any problems with mine, but have just had the battery and motor software updates done. Speaking with the dealer, Specialized have issued 'heat pads' for dealers to fit which require the motor to be opened up. I'm unsure specifically how they work but they essentially disappate heat from the motor more effectively which should address any motor cut outs resulting from heat build up (which I haven't experienced but will still have the heat pad fitted). May be useful to anyone experiencing problems...
  3. No real problems with mine... but I've not been on it for a few months due to house move and new baby! I understand there is something you can get your dealer to fit to more effectively dissipate the heat from the motor, in case it's a heat build up causing the issues. However, those heat issues typically result in the motor feeling weaker for a short while, not failing. A wet road should not cause this - maybe give the dealer another chance then request a new motor if the issue persists? Out of interest, where did you buy your bike! I didn't realise you could get the HT Fat in the UK...
  4. I ended up going 'semi fat'. I have a Specialized Turbo Levo hardtail with 3" plus size tyres which I think is the right balance for the riding I do. I love the look of your FatSix though and I'm sure it will be great fun!
  5. Try this... http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/ghetto-tubeless-inflator-total-cost-9p
  6. Had my first chain drop today. It was on a fast, steep, very rocky descent and hasn't happened before on that stretch with the Levo but then it never happened with my Cube. Unsure whether it's due the the FS Cube soaking up more of the bumps than the HT Levo, the XX1 on the Cube having a more effective clutch than the GX on the Levo, or whether it was pure coincidence and won't happen again. One thing I did notice is that the chain guide is wider than it should be and allowed the chain to slip down the side. I couldn't push it back through the gap though, so had to remove the guide to re-mount the chain on the chainwheel. Only a 3 minute job end to end, but a little annoying when remounting a chain should take 2 seconds. Otherwise, however, the bike performed flawlessly and I'm still loving it.
  7. Maybe I was a little harsh at first with my battery comments. I road cycled (boooo!) around 15 miles along relatively flat roads on Sunday to meet some friends and when I arrived I had used exactly 10% of the battery. That was using the 15% assist setting (see complex explanation above) which was all I needed given the terrain. Using very basic maths... I make that around 150miles of assisted riding! I did use more battery on the way home though as I smashed it back in turbo mode.
  8. Thanks, I didn't realise they did a 120mm version. I did know they are bloody expensive. Meant to be very good though, regardless of the susceptibility to getting covered in muck...
  9. I thought that was an XC fork? Weird to have an XC fork on full suspension bike isn't it?
  10. Ah, that's... er... not great is it. I stand corrected.
  11. For what it's worth, I'm a similar height and inside leg to you... and I wouldn't dream of a 50cm. I hope you can get comfortable with your setting adjustments as I think 46cm is the right size. Move the saddle as far back on the rails as the indicator marks will allow you to, if you've not done already. Regarding your front suspension, max of 110psi sounds low... but it could be fork dependent. Your fork should have a small rubber band on it. Put that all the way to the bottom and do a bit of a rough ride, check where it moves to and then add or remove air depending on the amount of travel the rubber band shows you've used.
  12. Is it really only me that likes the placement of the computer? It seems a better option that the Nyon, Intuvia, etc. that sit on but in front of the bars which is more susceptible to damage in a scenario where the bike and I unexpectedly part company. I have knocked bar mounted computers going literally arse over tit, which I don't think would have resulted in a knock to the Yamaha.
  13. Cheers SW. I didn't need to touch the XX1 in the 12 months I had the Cube, although the bike was properly cleaned after each ride. I'm hoping the GX will be similarly maintenance free given that the Levo will also be properly cleaned after each ride...
  14. I'm surprised by that. I had an XX1 derailleur on my Cube and it was absolutely flawless - really slick, precise, never missed a gear, etc. I'll be interested to see how the lower spec GX performs on my Levo.
