Check out my comments on this recent thread about folders https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/folding-bike-advice.40766/

MiB - Commuter
I did the same thing. Bought a folder that will stand upright, when folded, in the back of my very small Ford KA. Some folders are almost impossible to stand upright and have to be laid down. So you have to fold down the back seats. And even then it’s quite a job getting them in and out.

Folding bike advice
This how they look new. Without a folding stem which i fitted myself. This is the new aluminium version. This bike has got all the right bits fitted in the rights places. Rear Bafang motor, disc brakes etc etc.

Folding bike advice
But not a squeeze on the fingers when ‘folding’. And with the Suntour NCX post and big bum saddle it’s a great ride. It stands upright in the back of the smallest hatchbacks.

Folding bike advice
I’ve made my 1 second folding Kwikfold bike fold even smaller. You may not have seen one like it. And it rides as good as my ‘real’ Big Bear bike.

Bafang 8FUN motor in front wheel
Down in this part of the country you have to sell at car boot sale prices to make a sale. That FB marketplace is an e-bootsale down here.

Bafang 8FUN motor in front wheel
For an easy ‘collection only’ option on Facebook Marketplace i’ve put it on for £25

Bafang 8FUN motor in front wheel
This is a Bafang 8FUN 36v 250w motor in a 26” front wheel. It comes with the disc brake rotor, the torque bars and a deep tread tyre. No inner tube. It’s done 600 miles. I have just taken this out of my Woosh Big Bear which i’ve now converted to rear wheel motor. What’s it worth ???? Collection only from Bideford, North Devon. Or i can put it in a box for courier collection from my home.

Saddle Advice and help identifying pain
Yes, as said above. A Suntour NCX post and a big bum saddle worked for me.

Simple bike maintenance tip
A bike maintenance tip. In the old days when i wanted one or both wheels off the ground i would simply turn the bike upside down. Not worrying about a few scratches on the handlebars. Not so easy with todays electric bikes. Buy an adjustable centre stand and use it only for maintenance. Very stable, you can choose which wheel to have off the ground and no damage to bike. When done, refit the side stand. I don’t trust those centre stands for normal use. They need a good flat surface or bike will topple. Here, i’m converting my Big Bear from front to rear wheel motor and i’m finding this stand perfect.

Woosh Big Bear RWD
I’ve now ordered a new front wheel so i’ve got to withdraw it from sale to see how i get on with it being a bit lighter on the front end.
-
Woosh Big Bear RWD
Well, that sale did not go ahead. It seems my locals are frightened of the two motors even though it’s only the rear motor that’s connected. So now i’m thinking about changing the front wheel for a normal one. Would you happen to know Woosh if there’s one available from another model that will fit right in there? Thanks

#2 Battery seems to be the same as when it was new. During the winter i’ve plugged the charger into it once a month but it’s always been still full.
