  1. Ok if you fixing a lot of bikes a day, otherwise it would only get used once
  2. No I never throw things away what can be used on something
  3. Yeah I think its best to just buy a new puller as only about £4
  4. So this thread tool will be able to clean or make new thread on the puller
  5. so it will fix the thread on the crankshaft puller tool as that's a lot larger than what they showing plus it says 0.75-3mm whats size is puller thread
  6. Are you referring to this tool https://ebay.us/m/bNQuNf
  7. Well I think its because old crank arm inner thread was damaged. as tried very careful to screw in the tool. but like i said above I got old arm off eventually. but not using the tool.
  8. First I like to mention, That I was referring to the old crankshaft arm which was a problem removing. i got it off eventually but not using the puller as thread was damaged I have now fitted a new arm. and yes I always unscrew inner part fully . but was just asking if I ever need to remove this new one anytime, but its solid on the spindle so hopefully not.
  9. Whats dtrip mean or is that a spelling mistake, btw I always unscrew the middle bit fully but thread on outer bits are all damaged on all 3 maybe just best to buy a new 1 but thats 4 i have then lol I don't need to use the tool for a while anyway as fitted new pedal arm now which is rock solid
  10. This one is much cheaper, only £3.49 to be honest reason why I said about making a new thread as I already have 3 of these tools all damaged so wanted to see if i can repair the threads https://ebay.us/m/XZ0k3f
  11. Hi all I've damaged the thread on this tool, would it be cheaper to just buy a new one, or is there a cheap tap and die set which an make a new thread, if so what size to use
  12. Yes I always do make sure bolt is tight, then try again after about 2 weeks of bike use. I also use Loctite 243 around bolt, and will also put some around pedal bolt.
  13. It was only the left side pedal I have removed, 1st time its been undone since bike was new. so are you saying then the right side pedal unscrews anticlockwise then, as I thought both pedals unscrew clockwise. Its ok Just found out right pedal is anticlockwise left is clockwise this is when bike is in a upright position. so undo towards back wheel then both sides
  14. That's what I thought it says 170mm on it anyway. hopefully the new one will be nice and tight on spindle, Ive only now found out the pedals to undo is clockwise, and tighten anticlockwise no wonder it was hard to unscrew as I was doing it anti We all make mistakes, as the hedgehog said to the wire brush
