Battery fires/explosions
While not directed towards ebikes (it does include a scooter) I thought this presentation was very informative about what happens to compromised batteries: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIXTP-TgPEw:634 Gaz

Cycling Jacket
I too am long in the arm. 6'4" so in proportion. I use an Altura Nightvision jacket, which I've found really good for arm length. Outstanding for high vis and has a detachable hood for when the going gets wet. Gaz

Please help to choose E-bike for 2 child trailer and unfit parents.
I think people might be exercising caution in responding, which I think is understandable. There's certainly a chap on here who towed a trailer with a Big Bear, and said bike is certainly known for its grunt. My Wife has a Wisper 705SE (Pre 2016, full throttle) and while it'll haul my 16st along quite nicely, I personally wouldn't dream of towing with it. It's a ten year old with an 8A battery, so things might be different now. Gaz

Strange wheel speed problem
Of course, having dobbed it in, I've just done eight miles fault-free, with the exception of the last 100yds, where W011 popped up its ugly head again, but this time hasn't gone away. Gaz

Strange wheel speed problem
After four years of pretty much fault-free riding, I've got my first real problem. 2016 Whyte Coniston, Shimano E6010 drive train. I get W011 intermittently, lasts a couple of seconds and goes back to normal. In addition, but not at the same time, my speedo becomes erratic, saying I'm doing 25/32/46/87/98mph. Obviously when showing these speeds, it cuts the motor. Lasts a few moments, then goes back to normal. Seems no rhyme nor reason, but it's doing it several times a mile. Odd thing that I have noticed is, so far as I can tell, it only does it when pedalling. I've never seen it when coasting down a long hill. Cycle back up the same hill and it'll do it. Have experimented with this several times, with the same results. This makes me think it's not the magnet or sensor that's at fault (simplistic view, I know). I'm not particularly technical, so I think it's a bike shop jobbee, but I just wondered if anyone had any ideas. I've checked and realigned the spoke magnet, and have also replaced it. I've checked and cleaned the sensor, cleaned the contacts that the LCD screen connects to, and have looked for anything obvious, which there isn't, to my limited ability. Any thoughts very much appreciated. Gaz

Who is Liable to Exceeding 15.5 mph on an E Bike
I'd say the person in control of it, and riding it where they are, or are not, legally entitled to. But that's a very simplistic view. Gaz

Front sprocket detached from crankset - Why? Has it happened to anyone else?
Over 50 years (just) on two wheels and never had a chain break. In my youth, chains would only get the occasional bit oil if they were seizing up - oil was a far more important commodity for my skateboard wheels Gaz

Collection & delivery options during lockdown
£880, but a zero bidder. Lot of money, nice as it may be. £950 for the 905SE ex demo from Wisper. I'm out. Gaz

Collection & delivery options during lockdown
Thanks David, the bike I'm interested in, funnily enough, is a Wisper. It's a carbon 906xc Tourer, so a bit unusual. Unfortunately when factoring in a battery rebuild, boxing, courier costs, it's at the point where the 905 demo you've got advertised will be cheaper (even if they're quite different bikes so not really comparable).
