Temporary thread for sharing photos with PC2017
Watched the Aye-aye I did not know, it's crazy what we don't know.

Temporary thread for sharing photos with PC2017
I re-read, it was vague, with no nuance and the word "setups" instead of rig or bike. It was late afternoon & a bad day, the odd fact that I checked their membership time & location after I posted. Fool me once...

Ooh thanks for the heads up; I have to ask why is this, what the purpose?

Temporary thread for sharing photos with PC2017
I got fed up with some talking points and hijacked threads. I did another thread with my current build search MXUS front; if you can't find it I can link when I get back to the laptop. I have some updated pictures to add. Basically I completed my orig idea from way back in 2016 when I was poor now a tad better off & wiser I managed to build my dream bike and I love it. This thread was setup to swap temp pics as the private message system back then was not good for pics, it might work better now. I was selling him a new motor internal and a temp thread was easier to swap pics.

Hub motors using disk brakes. Plastic spacer on or off?
Consensus, it's nice just to cross reference my logic with my peers, once in while. On it. I was thinking they might too short with, rotor and spacer.

Hub motors using disk brakes. Plastic spacer on or off?
So I noticed the LBS left the plastic spacer on my front hub, when they added a 6 bolt Clarks rotor. I personally installed the motor wheel into the forks & installed as is. I left the plastic spacer on, as the 26" wheel was rim brakes & the (6) bolt holes go through to the motor insides. Does anyone omit the plastic spacer front hub or rear motor & have the rotor directly on the hub motor? I was thinking about it because, when aligning the motor in the drop outs I had to slightly washer one side over by 2mm to clear the rotor from the disk brake calliper mounting/forks. Removing the plastic spacer would give me the clearance I need to remove the aforementioned washer & centre the wheel. I am concerned about the 6 bolts going too far into the motor housing if the rotor thickness doesn't stop them. Any guidance? As normal if that makes any sense...

PAS sensor (KT-V12L) install issues
You inspired me... Things of note for the KT-LCD3 [and possibly other LCD based KT] C1 will need changing from "reverse" or left to "forward" or right. C1 = either 01/02/03. Took me a while to figure; as I was focused on magnet to sensor distance. On the plus side the front chain ring (cog) was steel so a couple of 4mm additional magnets to raise out the 12 pole ring helped although I have not tested this without the added distance. The magnet ring itself needed cutting to sit around the bottom bracket. Looks stealthy as... Which was an idea from my teeth cutting back in 2016, so glad I was able to bring it to fruition many-a-moons later.

PAS sensor (KT-V12L) install issues
Aye, aliexpress is funny, for xbox series XS parts I trawl through pages before I find the price and seller I am looking for + signed out will offer better prices than signed in. I fear its territory centric. The new "Choice" free shipping has added confusion imo, I picked up a "hailong" adapter mount for cheap but had to purchase 2 other items to complete the sale[ still cheaper than ebay]. Search criteria helps somethings aren't list the way us brits say em!

PAS sensor (KT-V12L) install issues
I found them to be inconsistent at best, some did work well but failed not long after, while others are stiff to operate, not mentioning 4 or 6 poles instead of 12 & the fact you'll need to remove the crank arm to install. Aliexpress deliver to most territories. Where do you hail from?

PAS sensor (KT-V12L) install issues
Doubt you'll get much slimmer, on the PAS that is... Any smaller and the costs would increase not to mention mounting it. There is many of styles try Aliexpress and search "PAS" or "KT pedal assist" or "pedal assist sensor". I found the above version to be the best option although a little extra waterproofing or a spare helps. The one I am rocking now is over 2 years old I add some hot-melt-glue to the inside. Normally they last 6 months if soaked.

29er MXUS XF07 wheel build, good idea, bad idea?
So the donor frame didn't go according to plan so I plumed for a new bike, Big nine 20 Merida, personally selected colour and style to add that individual touch. Supporting the LBS, luckily round the corner and fairly pleasant dudes to boot, 2 man team, they both know their game, which helps. Any other shops locally would have included the likes of Sports Direct (TREDZ)/ CUBE or Halfords, they had some decent bargains but it would of meant pedalling a new bike over 6 miles to home, in the cold to save a few bucks + my LBS does help with more challenging tasks, they also know I am "e"ing it.

29er MXUS XF07 wheel build, good idea, bad idea?
They should come with a China motor wheel, I had several but due to decreasing storage space I binned them except them two, I used them to post off my motor & he kindly reused them for the wheel return & as I pointed out to my missus, yes they did come in handy, I told her they would...You should see my box of packaging materials, it's a thing of awe & wonder, Cex rubbish is a good source of quality packaging, order something, return it and you get a massive amount of package for the cost of delivery & on the odd occasion the ordered product might actually be worth keeping YMMV. His pics not mine, if I had that set up & skill to own such a device, I would of done the build myself. I have a small rented flat that is terribly cold when the heating goes off & if my tool box needs to see the light of day, everyone is in trouble if I am not fixing the bike & most would even question my certification to safely fix that! As for the warranty, by the feels of the build quality I doubt I would need a true, most times with a China wheel once was enough. + the LBS charges £30 for a true, so apart from the obvious net zero carbon issue of the LBS cost savings out way the pollution. I am too fat to go up and down huge curbs, although there is one end of bridge slope where I can get air & yes I do poo myself if its too fast or too much air.
