Dalston fatal e-bike crash rider 'going too fast' - Court Case
He was wrong for having a bike that could reach speed in excess of 15mph; he was wrong for not showing due diligence while riding at speed in an area with pedestrians; he was wrong for leaving the scene of the accident where a dead body laid in the street. He is wrong for blaming her. He's guilty. Hang him.

Police ebike checks.
I don't trust British police and I wouldn't let them near my bike without a warrant and a lawyer present.

I'm finding it more and more difficult to hike my leg over the crossbar of this brilliant bike, and therefore I am putting it up for sale. I am asking £2500 which is much less than the retail price of £4000. This bike includes the Bosch Nyon navigation kit, and two Klickfix bike bags. Photos upon request.- Disregarding UK pedelec laws
I had to kiss the road when I was turning right at a junction, and a Millennial female turned left in front of me. She barely slowed down as I was lying flat on the road. Two passers-by helped me to my feet, and got me on my bike. She was nowhere to be seen.- Disregarding UK pedelec laws
This is only an opinion, but I think young e-bikers are more likely to break the speed laws, just as they do in automobiles. Taking risks is all about youth, because as you know, they are invincible. I'm not likely to fiddle with the speed restriction on my bike because I don't want to die anytime soon. I might think young speedsters are crazy, but I don't expect their behaviour to be the same as mine.- Anyone dealt with Electric Bike Sales?
I thought going through the dealer the bike was purchased from was standard operating procedure. I don't have any ill will towards my dealer, I just wish their customer service for online customers was better. They get rave reviews from the local customers of Cambridge, and aside from not having my bike prepped before I received it -- not the worst thing that could have happened.- Anyone dealt with Electric Bike Sales?
Just talked to the shop, and my strap was still sitting there after two weeks. Is there any wonder why British businesses have the low reputation for customer service that they do?- Anyone dealt with Electric Bike Sales?
Has anyone dealt with Electric Bike Sales, or Eddie the owner? I configured my bike on the R-M website, and then had the specs sent to this company for ordering. When I received the bike I had to have a mobile mechanic set up the bike because it hadn't been touch by the dealership. It cost me £50 which the dealer said they would pay, but didn't. I have reordered a bungie strap for my bike rack, through the same dealer (per R-M instructions), and paid the paypal invoice on 30th March. I have yet to receive the strap as of this date, and when I call the shop, they are closed (when by all accounts they should be open for business), or the owner is never there. This company advertises on our forum, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this level of service, or is it just me?- Burley dog trailer for e-bikes
Burley Tail Wagon bike trailer for dogs up to 34kgs (75lbs.). In an almost-brand-new condition, fully assembled, only been out on the road twice (and never with a dog in it). My dog is having NOTHING to do with it, prefers to trot alongside. Best suited to Springer/Border Collie/Small Lab size (or smaller) - my Retriever (34 kgs, big strapping girl) is, IMHO, too big for it. Unzips for sunshine & air, rain cover for wet days. Cost almost £400 from Amazon last autumn. £280, buyer collects, we can dismantle or flatten for transport. St Leonards, Near Ringwood. Summer's coming. Show this to your wife.- License for bikes ?
I don't know how you can stop bad cyclists, or drivers, without putting them down. People break the law with impunity in this country. There is no criminal justice system. The 19-year old punk who killed the mother of three because he had no breaks on the front wheel of his bike showed no remorse whatsoever, and was out of jail in six months. He had to be prosecuted under a 19th century horse & buggy law. Until dangerous cyclists and drivers are punished -- really punished, we're all going to be eyed by the public as public dangers. Think like a Roman general; act like a Roman general.- License for bikes ?
If every vehicle on the road was subject to a number plate, an "irresponsible idiot" caught on video, and subjected to £1000 fine (employed, student, on benefits, etc), would surely have their attitude changed. - 2018 Riese-Mueller Charger GT Nuvinci
