  1. I have a Kudos secret, it has 20inch wheels, I bought a bag for it. I've taken it on a london bus. I put it in the section for prams and that was fine, I've taken it on the national express coach no probably there. I've taken it on the train, there that was a probably because there wasn't much space and I had to keep moving it all the time. It's not easy to carry around but I much prefer 20 inch wheels to 16 inch.
  2. Marathon plus being so difficult to put on puts me off buying them, some reviewers have suggested marathon supreme.
  3. A dlock but honestly it's best not to leave it out in public at all, bike thieves are robbing parts of the bike if they can't take the whole bike. They are rampant and will take any not locked down.
  4. Take a look on ebay, I managed to get a 2nd hand kudos secret for £120 normally priced 800, the steering and the brakes were dodgy, that's all. I saw one going for £200 last week the seller had no battery keys though.
  5. I was going to get my bike fixed at Halfords last week, then I read a ton of bad comments about them in a FB group and decided not to. A lot of similar stories to yours.
  6. I just came across this vid, it's exactly as vfr400 described. It might be of help to anyone going through the same problems.
  7. I wouldn't mind bringing the bike down to Southend once I get it, how much do you charge to fit a kit?
  8. With something like that I'd have to pay over a grand all at once, which I can't do any time soon. If I get a donor I can ride that around for a while until I'm ready to convert. Plus a converted donor just feels more individualis tic and personal.
  9. I need some advice on which Woosh kit to buy and a donor bike to suit it. I would use the bikes for longer trips, e.g Central London to Windsor, South Downs. I can spend upto 300 or 400 on the donor bike. I want a mountain bike with disc brakes, should they be hydraulic or mechanical?I'd like 29 inch wheels, but I see the kits come in 26, so I'll stick with that. I'll need someone to fit it for me as well as I don't have the know how.
  10. But like I said he used an old chain lock, there will always be opportunists around no matter where you go. To good locks would have made it a lot harder to steal.
  11. During the day London is fine, it's the night time is when they come out.
  12. He just used a old chain lock though, use two quality dlocks then it becomes a lot harder to steal.
  13. Worse than that, even if it doesn't look nice it can still get stolen. I locked up a old trek bike outside my house, it had a ruined cassette, no chain, torn up seat and I already removed the break blocks that day. I locked the wheels but forgot to lock the frame. Next morning frame was gone. Bike thieves are utter scum.
  14. Thanks guys, I'll get the parts from ebay and get my local non electric bike shop to fix it, hopefully they will do it.
  15. OK. ..things didn't work out, attaching some pics. I'm thinking is it possible that the screw has broken without me realising.
