Now that most 30mph limits in Wales are now 20mph I'd love for the 15mph to be upped to 20mph as at 15 it's really awkward for cars wanting to overtake but not exceed the limit.

I disagree. To me it's no different than any pre delivery testing, that I'd expect from a decent manafacturer, just that this has to be more rigorous to comply with registration. Pretty sure all new cars are tested before tou get them as you dont need an MOT for 3 years after purchase. I've never bought a new car with 0 miles on the clock, always "delivery miles" I also doubt they ride it for 40min either, I'm assuming that's the duration of the test? The cost I believe os to cover the test cost and any additional work or parts that's needed, including a different controller? Again with the new car analogy, it's like the extra options package.

Hi David, I wish I'd know this when I bought the bike during the 1st lockdown, that's exactly what I wanted I know that you and the team have probably been waiting and umping through reg/legal hoops to get this process nailed rather than adhoc but, damn, I wish I knew this was possible when I bought the bike all that time ago in Lockdown as I'm WAY too far away to be able to use the service now. Without giving too much away for those unscrupulous hackers, is this a software or settings upgrade, or is it also physical? i.e. would a local reputable stockist be able to do the work with your permission and then I find somewhere to do the TA? Or is it back to you guys the only option? Thanks

I have to say, it's these types of responses from David that is the reason I've persisted with waiting and not jumped ship. That and the fact that there seems to be NO competition in the rear hub, high weight capacity at this price. It's been frustrating and I'm sure I've been a right pain but this level of forum, Facebook and email support is brilliant. Chosen tyres (Sams) and hoping for a speedy dispatch now. I've just had some great news! Mine is almost there. My excitement is peaking! Now I just need to decide between the new tyre options (they've changed since my original order) and I'm incredibly indecisive Kendra Town and Country o'r Smart Sams? I intend to ride mostly tarmac roads and cycle paths in rural wet and windy North Wales. Some of the paths may her a little gravelly/puddle filled at times so edging for the Sams. .Any thoughts?

Great pic! It certainly has been a strange one! I know you guys have been doing your best to get them out, the delays benefit no one, esp a business. At least the demand is a good thing I. Crossed fingers mine is in the 20% no email yet so not feeling confident. Plus mine is red! Too much longer though and I'll be WELL over the maximum weight limit when it arrives! Despite my frustration at constant (covid related) setbacks and delays, being lost in the ordering system and change of colours from the original release (gutted, I loved the misty blue) I can't wait to get one. My dealer only has the mid drive version unfortunately and until they had one I was buying blindx which was scary. Crossing everything for next week delivery.

This is great to hear, ordered a crossbar tour version. How did you manage to get a rear hub so soon... I ordered in April and am still waiting. Really As a heavier (much) rider I'm glad it has plenty of oomf as I had been tempted during the delay to cancel and go for the higher torque Forme Peake Trail 3E. I do somewhat regret not ordering the city bars, as they look a little more upright. Thanks for the pic, the real life pics (non studio) really help see the colour. Guess it's still a waiting game for me. Matter of weeks hopefully

Thanks David, I'm sure you would have preferred to have got them flowing through too! My frustration is of course born from the fact I really want the bike! It looks great, and the spec is just what I need. High torque rear drive, which seems increasingly difficult to find. The mid version was a little outside my price bracket and think the rear, with cadence and throttle will suit my lazy style! I've learnt a lot about bikes in recent weeks! As a man of ample stature, I'm glad it will be robust too! Just hope it fits me too. In older models you offered an "off road" switch, is this something that could be possible for the wayfarer, or retrofitted?

End of July. Gutted, that's a huge delay from April/May. I've sent you an email regarding the stems and is there a difference in the 3 variations. As I haven't been able to test the bike I wondered if a variable stem on the Adventure would give me more flexibility on reach fit. Been burnt by ordering a Ridgeback cyclone on leg length only and wanted to avoid agon! As always, huge thanks and respect for your customer service in all of this. Even though, the wait is excruciating, the service has always been excellent.

I was told when I ordered 6 to 8 weeks, put my order in but they are really fair and wouldn't take any money until they could give me a date for delivery. They then contacted and said it will be at least June, now possibly July. I feel for them as this spec bike would have flown out.
