  2. Sorry, missed the previous post. Whilst we cant all have a handy CT scanner, the weight tip might be useful. If a bought cell is empty\light than might have been made by a manufacturer that does not take care ........
  3. Is the battery box the one on the front steering tube ? I have a battery upgrade planned for my eBrompton, and that large box looks about right for a 10Ahr battery and controller. Where did the box come from ?
  4. And maybe the are good reasons why the regulations are not changing. There are no doubt a few e-bike riders that 'need' to go faster. There are also lots of people, pedestrians etc, that 'need' the current speed limit to be enforced and not increased.
  5. Nope. Does not look like an e-bike and is legal in any case. No indication they are seizing legal eBikes.
  6. Well because of the laws, riding the 1000W bike on the road, in the UK, is illegal, 'restricting' the power output or speed will not make it road legal. If you want it road legal then change the motor for one that is rated at 250W.
  7. So an electric Titanium framed Brompton. Make us all jealous, tell us how much it weighs ..........
  8. If your speeding, 20mph++, then for sure it will attract attention. I am older than 65 and my legs are not in great shape either but the 15.5mph limit is fine by me. Not sure why having legs 'not in great shape' would mean speeding is a solution.
  9. "Has it got a throttle ?"

  11. Whilst there are some legal eBikes out there very very often the eBikes you see are indeed illegal, so maybe the public are taking a reasonable view. An example, just went out to pick something up from Ikea. Was driving around town for maybe 30 mins and saw 15 eBikes being used, only 1 of them was legal.
  12. I have 20 x 1.75 Marathon plus tyres on my G-Line, not as bouncy as the supplied Schwalbe 20 x 2.1, but very good on the road and more puncture protection.
  13. Spare batteries from Brompton can be an issue yes. There is a conversion kit available for the G-Line that uses Bosch power tool batteries on the front bag block, you can get those batteries all over the World.
