  1. I have a cpl different variadnt on that longer light, it's decent on bike for short distances howere I use them mainly now as torches when doing fiddly stuff, they work great for that, not so much on bike. If you want to dazzle someone at 50yds buy a 12-80V motorbike headlight, as long as you have the Ah (I have 52V 17.5AH), in your battery you're all good. I paid £14.75 for this....trust me...it's f'ckin bright....
  2. This is what I did to get 2 USB ports from my 52V battery, used a XTC splitter and made a cable for the box. https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/installing-a-usb-socket-on-ebike-52v-battery.45428/#post-684953
  3. Nuts, over £3,500 and you still need a bosch power tool battery. Is it just me or does the power tool battery plugged in at front just look stoopid? Are there that many rich stoopid people about....?

  5. The OPs list of 'upgrades' is pretty much what I bought first time around but didn't bother upgrading the brakes
  6. Yes, just like buying the wrong size valve for a gas system or wrong breakers for a distribution box, you should be culpable. Often is is the wrong voltage charger or gaffa taped batteries wired inappropriately etc. The law is nuts, what if I used a portable BBQ in kitchen as rain came on and it burned down the entire block of tenement flats and killed say half dozen people. So it was an 'accident'....but, where is the line where gross stupidity/negligence is trumped by an 'accident'? Like to see that graph....
  7. If the owner of that conversion got anywhere near 60mph the cops need not have worried, Darwin would soon have sorted it out.
  8. Ooft, the cops were having some fun that evening, donuts round the carpark after a few bangers....
  9. That dude who's ebike fire killed his wife and two kids, tragic as it is, after his bike was nicked he knew he was buying cheap crap but had to get back to work and the result was.... Now if he had an issue with the gas boiler, bought a crappy spare part internet and blew the block up he's going to jail for a stretch... Or tried to fix the distribution box with wrong breakers or guage of wire...he's doing a stretch. Manslaughter through ignorance isn't an excuse...right?
  10. When will they start to prosecute diks for negligence? If he was fcking with the gass supply or fiddling the leccy and caused a similar fire the cops would do him, but his gaffa tape ebike electrical system and dodgy charger isn't an issue? So he gets off scott free? Nuts.
  11. +1 for Zefal Dooback, I have it on right side, none of the rear view mirrors are great IMHO, this was best I found and has it uses when in busy traffic, also on confined paths/crowds you can fold it back as mentioned, usfeul for narrow gates.
  12. Over 16Ah for 3.2kg and it cannot catch fire....? My 3 yrs old 15.5Ah almost 5kg, so decent weight saving too. What's the catch, cost?
  13. I hope they're taking the same approach with the lycra mob...who have been a danger for many yrs now...
  14. In the 80s and 90s it was car stereos that the scum chavs would nick, now it's way more profitable, quick and easy to just rob some geezer of his ebike at knife point. If they're out nicking ebikes at least they're not burgling you grans house...
  15. 20yrs ago young daughter had a massive black rabbit called Phoebe, I hated it as whenever it was out it was shitting and pissing everywhere and always ended up behind the tv cabinet chewing cables. I had to patch the power cord (240V) from the old 32inch old skool telly and video more than once, how she never electrocuted herself I'll never now... She also destroyed a few coax cables and a PS2 video cable and dance mat....grrrr... That rabbit 'disappeared' one day, escaped form it's outside run that I built for it from old wood in garage. We found it approx a yr later running about front garden of the house 100yds down the street, spoke to the lady gardening and she said it just turned up one day in back garden. I let the lady keep it as my daughter got two new ones (Starksy and Hutch that lasted 2 week before they 'dissapeared', fox most likely this time), so she was getting older and gone off the idea of a rabbit... How unfortunate.
