  1. Comms need not be proprietary. USB PD charging standard already exists and can go up to 48V, 5A, though hardware support is not yet that common. Should be enough for most ebikes.
  2. Another competition on ebay, though not as nice as a 3D printed adapter: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/135363594379?itmmeta=01K0C8SJ1H74CATP55TH373STS&hash=item1f844c888b:g:9JEAAOSwQ7Zl1WzO
  3. I'm only asking for a way to find your company that sells this -- at least a name or a way of searching for it is required. Unless I missed something. As for ebay policy on ebike and related stuff, their enforcement appears to be totally inconsistent.
  4. Also, please post a link to your adapter to the FB group "swytch bike chat". The other day I tried to guide someone to your site, but found the eBay link no longer works.
  5. In some of these models, after turning the key you have to press a catch to release the battery. Look for one at the bottom or top.
  6. Man shoving shopping cart onto a cyclist
  7. This a misleading video as it fails to mention that, Irish Road Tracffic act "defines a mechanically propelled vehicle as one, inter alia, intended or adapted for propulsion by mechanical means, including a bicycle equipped with an auxiliary electric motor greater than 0.25kw." This one was reported to have a 750W motor.
  8. If you are using original Swytch SW102 display, the speed magnets is hardcoded (n=6 in kits I've used) in the display firmware and cannot be edited. Your external sensor will have to match it to get the right speed. Or mentally correct the speed by a factor.
  9. > I'd prefer something lower down rather than the swytch-style handlebar mounted batteries I know Swytch is universally hated here, but can't help point out they have "bro block" that mounts the battery lower down. Never used their kit on a folding bike, but know a few who seem satisfied.
  10. > KT controllers work differently to yours. Each pedal assist level is a different power, and all allow you to reach the global maximum speed you set. For your Lishui one, each level allows maximum power, but has a different speed limit. That depends on the firmware. Lishui controllers I've used have current control [*]-- at any PAS level one can reach the max speed if the load is low enough. While riding, it may feel like max speed is dependent on the PAS level only because the speed maxes out due to the load. Especially so on low power controllers. Test on a stand to know whether its current/power limited or speed limited. [*] Loosely called torque control which is a misnomer as what it controls is the battery current not the phase current. Power control would be a better word.
  11. A rowable thingy going uphill? Here we call that portage https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portage
  12. Does this kind of thing still draws a crowd? 2 acres could host a "wall of death".
  13. I use a buzzer recycled from an old smoke alarm. Appears to work fine though haven't tested beyond a few tens of seconds.
  14. Does it start to judder before going off indicating poor power delivery? Anyway, the picture below shows what someone did to fix poor connectivity at the mounting bracket (copied from a post on Swytch Bike Chat).
