  1. I thought it was on here somewhere but just in case it isn't: https://github.com/SparksandBangs/SparksandBangs_EBiCS_Firmware
  2. Haven't posted on here in a while and thought I'd do a bit of an update. Everything running that well that I can't remember the last time I altered the software, probably over six months ago. Very pleased with it. Used as a daily commute. I completed several bits of tinkering to make a smoother ride but never got around to updating it on GitHub. The code on there is probably 4 or 5 versions behind. I will try to remember to upload the latest version if for no other reason that it will give me a remote backup.
  3. I was talking to someone the other day that bought from Go Outdoors. To cut a long story short the bike developed a fault between the battery and base. Apparently Go Outdoors have had it since September and have been unable to repair as waiting for a part. Not sure if this is typical. I haven't seen the bike or fault so no idea if it would have been an easy fix.
  4. The instructions on my charger state: "Before charging plug the battery box first, then plug the charger. After charging pull out the charger first then pull out the battery box." I take that to mean that it wants you to connect to the battery before switching the charger on. However later on it also says "it is strictly forbidden for children playing and be caught in the rain". So I guess it's fine for children to play on dry days or to be doing something non fun and get wet through at the same time. Maybe I shouldn't take too much notice after all.
  5. Je voudrais une baguette s'il vous plait.
  6. I've started to see quite a few click bait AI generated pieces on websites that don't match the content. This one is on a plumbing and heating website so seems to match the other nonsense.
  7. I'd like to have an argument please.
  8. I found this method of converting the Yose kit to current control if you are feeling adventurous. Assuming the Lishui controller. It would cost between five and ten pounds to convert. If it all goes wrong you can happily buy a KT controller and your problem will be solved anyway. https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/torque-simulation-with-yose-power-lishui-controller.49090/
  9. If it's a neat conversion then plaster a sticker on the battery that says Halfords and claim it is shop bought. It is unlikely they will have a clue.
  10. Put the battery in a back pack and claim it is non electric.
  11. Deranged. If you are riding an illegal bike then you will have to get off and push it. Because people that ride illegally are well known for following rules. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx2lmg070n7o.amp
  12. I don't think it's a secret that in the legal setup that the KT throttle works more like an on/off switch than a graduated output. It of course could be better implemented but as with anything it's a compromise that can be put up with to get 95% of functionality that most people are satisfied with. I would assume with a higher powered controller the effects of an on/off switch would become more noticeable and because of that be more irritating. If the irritations becomes too much then it's time to change to a different solution. On my 36V 15A folder it's fine. On my 48V 25A commuter I prefer the graduated legal throttle.
  13. If you remember I did attempt an experiment with a different controller to prove your theory. Unfortunately I was unable to recreate the behaviour. I'm willing to concede that the time I spent on it wasn't enough to draw any conclusions.
  14. I've never seen a Brazilian tree frog. It doesn't mean they don't exist.
