Thanks for the advice, eventually fixed my wife's electric bike. After a few days working on it then going away to go back to the bike,,s it was annoying me. You're advise made me understand the things I didn't. Basically I had to replace the charging port as they were worn and the live pin 1 did not have continuity. So I replaced it but had a nightmare opening up the battery as there well sealed. Many thanks

My wife has a carrerra vengance e spec one of the first ones, it has a 3 pin plug, now it gets used alot I had problems with the python chargers port on the battery, not sure if it is just worn connection between the battery and the charger cable. Pin 1 and 2 doesn't have any voltage between them and when u put the meter over the I'd pin 3 and + pin 1. It reads - 19v which now has reversed the polarity of +pin1. Is the charger broken or is it a bad connection
