  9. Only 100 bikes available, limited stock of all bikes, priced from £579.17 + VAT. Models currently available are:- Mistral Alamo Tourer Nexus 8 Tourer Deore 9 Liberty Safari When they are gone they are gone. The UK government putting 63% duty of Asian eBikes has killed this market. Shame, Kudos had an excellent reputation for quality eBikes at fair prices. To view/purchase the currrent models available please visit:- Kudos Cycles at Rally Design
  10. Sadly I must say that you should not buy from the UK,the paperwork to ship to the EU is still a problem, make no mistakes and EU will still send the product back with no reason. Its about to get a lot worse, from July1, with the introduction of OSS...any consignment with a value less than £135.00 (150 euros) it will be the responsibility of the UK supplier to register for vat in an EU country, charge the vat in the rate of the destination country, then pay the vat to the country of registration and that country will divide it out to the various destination countries. This will be an administrative nightmare. We have decided to make the minimum order value(product content )150 euros. This will hurt all uk businesses that ship to Europe low value items. We really didnt appreciate the implications of Brexit. Dave Elderfield,MD Rally Design/Kudos Cycles
  11. Maybe our Kudos Mistral will do your job . It is cadence (rotation) sensor, which means that you control the power, rather than the bike detecting the torque you are putting in the pedals. It also has the BPM motor which offers higher torque at lower speeds...most of the cheap motors need 8 mph before max torque kicks in,the BPM max torque kicks in at 4 mph, this is particularly important for riders who may not have 100% capacity in their legs. visit www.kudoscycles.com for full details, best means of contact is by email....sales@rallydesign.co.uk
  12. I think its common knowledge that Kudos has been running down its stocks of Kudos e-bikes. Since our government re-introduced the anti-dumping duty on chinese supplied bikes it has not been possible to import bikes and make a profit, but we still have a number of good value bikes in stock bought prior to the duty imposition. We have a few left of Kudos Secret,Liberty,City,Alamo,Mistral,Sprint and K16,visit Kudoscycles.com for full details. Unless the anti dumping duty is scrapped I doubt whether we will ever again replace this stock, but whilst stocks last they are top quality bikes at bargain prices. Best way of contact is by email.....sales@rallydesign.co.uk
  13. Flecc, good to be back on this forum and talk with you again. I know you have history in the auto industry. You may be interested in our very succesful helical geared lsd differentials,we are up to over 50 applications with thousands in use, many in classic vehicles such as Escort RS,Jaguar,MGB,BMW...they make the traction of a 2 wd close to a 4 wd-it has occupied a lot of my time , but I am now starting to look again at e-bikes,there are certainly some exciting new models available from China,at very attractive prices but government/HMRC won’t make its mind whether they will create a ‘level playing field’ with the EU post January 21,which I suspect will involve the prohibitive 37% anti dumping duty, which protects the Italian and German bike industries. KudosDave
  14. David LW....thank you for your question....the batteries are not unique to any one model, for example the Samsung clip in battery is fitted to the Stealth,Alamo,Sprint and Mistral model. Kudos is not exiting selling e-bikes,we are having a breather whilst our government makes up its mind whether anti dumping duties will not be replaced by a government version in January 2021. It appears that e-bikes will only be subject to 6% tariff, but nothing is certain with this government. We are into single numbers of many of our best selling models,as I say with the current uncertainty I will not reorder exhausted models, but in the meantime they are good value for money. KudosDave
  15. Not sure,we were lucky not getting involved in the anti dumping duty tax, that finished such companies as Freego. We had a big range, maybe too big. I will not build in the U.K.,that would make bikes prohibitively expensive. It may be that Boris may delete all import tariffs after January 2021,that would make bikes from China competitive again,it is ironic that the last batch of Chinese bikes we imported....the Mistral,Alamo,Stealth,Secret were the best bikes. At the moment we are running down our stocks, the virus has stimulated an interest in all bikes, when a model is exhausted it is not currently being replaced. Our performance auto parts business is booming, customers maintaining their race cars rather than using them,my staff are working split shift to maintain distancing rules. KudosDave
  16. The Kudos Secret was our best selling e bike. The seat post is dual height like a Brompton. The handlebars also have a wide range of adjustment to match. The bike can be ridden by almost any height. You will be able to put your feet flat on the ground,if that is what you wish. Not much stock left now,we will not restock until after the virus has been eliminated. Regards KudosDave
  17. After the EU announced 37% anti dumping duty on Chinese-EU (incl U.K.) we stopped importing e-bikes and have slowly run our stocks down, about 200 bikes left. We still have a good range, please look on Kudoscycles.com Our prices are still at pre duty levels. Our Kudos Secret bike was considered one of the best of the folders, the Kudos Mistral is one of the most torquey mountain bikes, still have some tradition Dutch bikes and the Kudos Stealth and Alamo electric sport bikes. Not many left now and unfortunately no test rides available....for purchases use....sales@rallydesign.co.uk.....we can still PDI and courier delivery in the lockdown. The best time to buy a bike. Dave Elderfield MD,KudosCyles.
  18. The Kudos Secret is probably the top selling uk bike of the size and type you require.....look on Kudoscycles.com KudosDave
  19. So we are going to get Boris as PM...looks like if you are a Tory Toff who went to Eton, have retired to the shires on £80k per year, love junk food determined to drink or smoke yourself to death and love killing foxes for sport you have got the right man.!!!! I suppose that pretty much defines most Tory party members. KudosDave, back from holiday. Still selling Kudos bikes, not many left now.
  20. Some say that tariffs will be deleted after 'clean break brexit' ,according to Farage and Co. He often quotes Article 24 of GATT as a solution if the EU wont play ball with zero tariffs but Article 24 clearly states that both sides must agree. The EU and UK wont agree to zero tariffs otherwise they will have to zero tariff all other WTO members, they wont agree to that and in many products nor will we. Google 'brexit article 24' house of commons library. As always Farage is strong on rhetoric but weak on detail, just cant understand why others are not challenging him. I voted Lib Dems for the first time in my life in the EU elections. KudosDave
  21. Whilst walking round the Canton Fair (now the Chinese import/export fair)I decided to visit some ebike suppliers who had become friends over the years, I was interested in how they had overcome the EU anti dumping duty....not one of their European customers is paying the full duty and many are avoiding it completely. There schemes are as varied as they are devious....some are shipping via Taiwan, some are building in Poland, some are sourcing in Europe to get round the 40% rule and some are playing games with the values. Typical crafty Chinese I knew they would avoid the duty, wonder what will happen if we ever Brexit. Sorry posting here should be non bike related, hehe. KudosDave
  22. Except for the crazy guy who cut off his index finger because he voted in error,if you inked his forehead they would have had to wheel out Madame guillotine. KudosDave....fed up it has rained 10 days in Guangzhou and forecas
  23. I dont think any words need to be added to this results release...... Profits at UK pub chain JD Wetherspoon fell 19% in the six months to the end of January. It blamed a rise in labour costs, interest payments, utility bills, repairs and depreciation for the fall. Its chairman, Brexit supporter Tim Martin, who generally accompanies results announcements with his colourful opinions, expressed concern that Brexit would be reversed. This, he said, would have "adverse economic consequences". He blamed "the establishment" for a "barrage of negative economic forecasts". Mr Martin is currently touring 100 of his 900 pubs, talking to punters about the merits of leaving the EU without a deal on 29 March. It couldnt just be that the EU workers have gone home and the Brit replacements dont want to work so hard for minimum wage.....no silly of me it is 'negative economic forecasts'.....I dont remember anyone in a Spoons talking about 'negative economic forecasts',hehe !!!! KudosDave
