Volt vs Estarli
What about the woosh Camino on offer today. Looks to be a good buy from a reliable seller

Ebike News
They quite often say ''EBikes'' but sometimes when you read about it, it's more than likely one of those SurRon type motorbikes

Power output
Sjpt it is a new battery

Power output
Thanks Peter I think it is the mk2, and yes it is possible to derestrict to 28 mph, but not sure on other technical details. Not saying it is a bad bike, and it is absolutely fine on gradual hills, but does seem to struggle on more severe ones. Of course someone younger and fitter would no doubt have no problem but at my age with dodgy knees, I want to be able to still go out and about but have no need to challenge myself too much. Saneagle suggests maybe upgrade controller and battery to 48v but that may turn out to be more expensive than say the Engwe L 20 boost at £1049. At this point just trying to go through the pros and cons. regards

Power output
Does anybody know the Nm rating of the Oxygen S cross. I have not been able to find it. It is getting on a bit now and I am thinking of treating myself to a new one, but would like to be able to compare the power rating with new model. I am thinking about the Engwe L20 3.0 pro which is rated at 100 nm and has torque sensor and mid motor, or the L20 boost which has a hub motor and 75nm. My riding is mainly local trails but living in Derbyshire it can be a bit hilly and I would like to go further. I find that the Oxygen struggles a bit on hills, and at 78 would like a little more help

Battery charger
So I would assume the reason why they aren't offered is merely the cost. I see that the price of the charger is £115

Battery charger
Been looking at the Engwe L20 3.0 pro, which seems like a good bike and see that the battery charger is 8amp giving a full charge in a supposed 2hours. Much faster than most. So I wonder why other bikes don't seem to offer this. Is it down to cost or will it shorten battery life

New battery
Thanks Tony. You are probably right, and that is why I am reluctant to consign it to the tip. Unfortunately I am not very competent at such things and would likely burn my house down. From enquires it would not seem to be cost effective to send it away for repair. I thought maybe someone with the right skills on here may be able to salvage something from it for future use. regards

New battery
To just continue this, as stated I have now got a new battery so rather than take the old one to the tip I wondered if the old one would be of any use to anyone on here. Just to say it was completely rebuilt with Panasonic cells ( so I was told ) and it has probably done less than 500miles, so whatever the problem the bulk of the cells should be in good condition. So if any of the technically minded people are interested you are welcome to it. Obviously it would have to be collected. I am in Derbyshire just south of Chesterfield

New battery
Thanks all make sense, but point 2 is at odds with the bike manual which states the opposite, that says not to switch power on until plugged in

New battery
Took the plunge and bought myself a new battery for my Oxygen S cross. Question is, what is the best way to look after it. Should it be charged after every ride of say 10 miles or more. Or should it be run down and then filled up again. There does seem to be different points of view. Also on storing over winter if not being used, should it be full power or reduced

New bike
Yes have decided against the Cyrusher. Have bit the bullet and bought a new 16ah Oxygen battery. The more I looked into it, the more I thought that it could end up costing more to get it fixed.

Charger fail
Thanks Antony, yes I have checked that and it was ok
