I could not find the prices for those Verge motorcycles, then found a used one on Autotrader...... £32,000 - bargain! And I thought the Hercules Rob folder I admired at £4000 was dear.

This is Gridwatch just a few minutes ago. Gas generation is heading towards max, yet there are six interconnectors that seem to be exporting power. Very strange. Solar power of course, is dropping as night approaches. Nuclear would be a great help, but it all seems in the future. Perhaps we should lessen our demand for power?

Thank-you. You made the point I intended to make, but without stumbling around as I would have done. One wind=less, sun-less day when it's cold is all we need. I am not against solar panels etc. I would love to have a house with a big garden and go off-grid, but that is personal, and does not help GB. Interconnectors are all very well (we have one a mile or so from our house), but that means we are dependent on another country. Not very wise.

When you say, total generation, do you include wind and solar in that total?

What an amazing woman! I just looked at the Gridwatch site. (I look at the meters, as I am colourblind and the bars don't mean a lot to me), and we seem to be near max generation and max demand as I type this. If we had anything like the 1963 winter, we would be lost.
