  1. I would still like a display if anyone has one spare.
  2. Yes there is a battery but have already replaced it. Thanks. As it is now working albeit without display, I think I keep it this way as there is much more room on my handlebar. I might get a phone holder for navigation purposes as I'm always getting lost.
  3. No, I just mentioned what the purpose of Bluetooth is for rather than saying it is useful. I'm more interested if it does give other information that would be useful like real time wattage, current and voltage figures.
  4. I've been searching on Aliexpress for a replacement display and came across a model I've never seen before. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-sh ... eLevelAB=0 From the picture, there are 5 PAS levels and more interestingly a Bluetooth icon. I assume this is for connecting to a smartphone to display the speed as shown in the advert above. Unsure what other details can be displayed too. What I like about it is the small size keeping the handlebar clutter free since I rarely find the speedo useful. Has anyone got one of these and can shed more light on this?
  5. Folks, I've good news and bad news. First the good news. After a bit of Internet searching, I found this http://www.poweredride.com/info/dump-your-bafang-display-for-stealth-and-better-display-options explaining how to use the motor without a display. Basically it means connecting a wire between the PL and P+ pins on the plug where the display is normally connected to. Fortunately a programming cable can be used for this purpose which I have. Once done, my motor is back to life Bad news is obviously I will now have to order a new display as I don't have a clue how to repair my one.
  6. Thanks PC2017. Would be great if there was a local shop that can check a component as I don't mind paying for a new one if I definitely know that it is faulty. Shame ebike is still a niche market.
  7. Thanks for that however as there's no certainty the display is faulty I be reluctant to pay full price. Was hoping someone might have a spare from upgrading theirs.
  8. My display is dead and no longer respond and need a working bike to get around. I currently have a C961 display and so would prefer this. But will be interested in any other model too.
  9. I'm located in Croydon. Just to confirm the buttons for the display have a postive click feel and don't think these are at fault. When this problem started, I was able to get it working intermittently by switching off and on using the button switch built into the battery, the display buttons then worked. Now this trick no longer works.
  10. My BBS02 500W has been running fine for 3 years and I only use it for road use so it has had an easy life. Yesterday I had a fault and wondered is it related to when I disconnected the battery before switching it off and maybe causing a power surge when I lifted the battery from its holder. I have the C963 display and now it permanently shows level 1 assist and the display buttons do not respond. That is the power, plus and minus buttons are unresponsive. Luckily when I connect the battery the system automatically power on but stuck in assist 1. There is no error code showing. The throttle still works so I can use that for more power. I've checked for loose connections and the battery contact. Not sure if the display module is faulty and don't know if it can be tested with a meter to confirm before splashing out for a replacement. Has anyone had the same fault or know how to fix this?
  11. I have just bought the NCX seatpost and it seem it made no difference until I realised I goofed up, I had it fitted back to front Now with it correctly fitted I find it is fine, but going over small potholes I still feel through my backside the juddering caused. Is this normal?
  12. Had my BBS02 for about 2 years and guess it could do with its first service although still quietly purring away at the moment. Fordulike - did you kill the vac after sucking all that grease since it isn't design for that. Was there any grease left in the tube afterwards.
  13. I got the hydraulic brake sensor from Dillinger 3 weeks ago. As a bonus it was the cheapest incl. p&p.
  14. Yes, it was in stock when I posted. However they do have this one instead http://www.tesco.com/direct/happy-hopperz-pink-bike/780-1707.prd?pageLevel=&skuId=780-1707
  15. If you want an ebike but can't afford one or just want one for the occasional use, no excuse now not to get one. Hopper City bike from Tesco for £180, cheaper than a replacement battery. http://www.tesco.com/direct/hopper-city-electric-bike/432-0796.prd?skuId=432-0796&pageLevel=&sc_cmp=tp4_aff_1018132
