EBCO ucr30 charger connector
CANbus needs to see specific info via connected components otherwise know as handshaking/communications protocols. The extra three wires used are for communicating that the correct charger is being used. Without this handshaking /comms protocol these bikes are only useful as garden ornaments. Many bikes use CANbus , Bafang , Bosh and other top end expensive brands.

DYISLAND LD4X-300 4-Pistons - Any thoughts?
They are typical of China copies of shimano entry type models with the added bonus of having cut offs integrated, they are all over Aliexpress etc, etc. They will work and do the job better in place of cable brakes, 4 pistons vs 2 pistons supposedly give approx. 20% more braking improvement.

Power cuts out suddenly when riding
Sadly very few if any LBS will entertain opening a battery , as they will not have the knowledge let alone the time and cost implications. At 5 years old, one suspects it needs replacing unless a nearby amateur expert can take a look.

48V Rear Hub motors 250W
Nearly most 48v 250w marked hubs will be from an OEM bike or supplied kit specifically for the UK or EU market as requested by the supplier for it to be marked so. Very rare to buy direct form China 48v marked other then 350 or 500w, one could ask a vendor such as TBK if they can mark one as 205w ?

Power cuts out suddenly when riding
To check the battery balance the LBS will have to physically open the case and measure the 10 cell groups to see if one is out of balance.

Power cuts out suddenly when riding
Knackered battery syndrome or a battery badly out of balance, simply put when one applies more current ones gets voltage sag or for a balance issue one has a bad cell group with a low voltage reading. The important factor omitted is the the battery age ????

48V Rear Hub motors 250W
Problem is finding a 48v marked 250w hub, those we really only know or hear of are form Woosh or Wisper with their 44v systems.

36 volt electric bike battery and charger
Please do not reply to this post as it is highly likely any posted battery will be deemed as dangerous goods and destroyed, meaning one will not received said goods and be out of pocket. Also as a guest poster they are not known to the community.

Dahon ciao conversion success
Nice pleased one is happy with the result. Generic components means repairs and fault finding should be so easy.

Koga E bike
Gear changes are simple using Shimano Deore thumb shifters , the bike utilises std Deore chain drive. The bike is an older Koga model that uses a rear hub motor compared with most of today's Bosh offerings. The battery may be a generic type battery so check the front compartment of the battery to see how many wires are connected to the pin outs. Generic batteries use only two pins/wires Black & Red so any 2 wire battery of the same voltage will work. With a rear rack battery if generic one simply looks for a new rack and battery set up and swap the whole lot over. Pics of the bike would help more . The xtension appears to be a 2017/18 model or earlier.

Will a new ebike eventually become landfill?
One reason some of us buy generic system operated bikes or build our own that can easily be converted by use of 3rd party generic batteries or controller systems. Branded mid drive torque sensing bikes I would never entertain one. In the end it boils down to ones skills and ability.

Connect prorider.
It will be speed controlled so level 1 about 8mph, level 2 about 12mph and level 3 15.5mph. The power is always max in each level so tbh one will likely use level 3 other wise one will be going up and down to often.
