July 30, 20178 yr This guy could probably do with a conversion kit at the very least; and why does he have a rucksack on his back when his shed is right behind him? Jim
July 30, 20178 yr That looks old. There's loads of much more recent ones available, plenty of photos on this link. Here's one that could turn up on pavements! .

July 31, 20178 yr If I lived on the fens I would do that... I live on the edge of the fens and believe me, the winds would soon make up for them lack of gradients!
July 31, 20178 yr I live on the edge of the fens and believe me, the winds would soon make up for them lack of gradients! It would make an interesting caravan holiday though, each day only cycling with the wind to see where one ended up! .
July 12, 20205 yr Now that I look at that photo again, I'm pretty sure that it's been Photoshopped. The rider is in sunshine and the trailer is in the rain. Another thing: What's that thing that his chain goes round under the chainwheel? Anybody any idea?
July 12, 20205 yr Well spotted with the sunshine vfr yes it's a fake alright. I have a much larger image of it, apparently it's from 1940 so if manipulated then it would have been in a darkroom. The real giveaway is the chain and look at the area behind the crank, it's not clear on this version but look closely on mine cropped and run through AI software.

Including the Telegraph newspaper online, credited to General Photo Archive /Getty Images. it does look dodgy though, with the differing light on the rider compared to the trailer. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/07/29/archive-photos-holidaymakers-camping-caravanning/cyclist-towing-caravan-1940/
July 12, 20205 yr I suppose that thing could be some sort of chain tensioner. Edit: Here it is: For 3-speed gears:
July 12, 20205 yr Got to be an April 1st joke story right? If link works it's called a Z-Triton. 3wheel Amphibious Caravan.
